Welcome to The Space Collective Community

It all began with a dream: a dream to offer cross-cultural workers the opportunity to express themselves in a safe, nurturing and creative environment. Many of us live and serve detached from family, friends, and an active support group. We do hard things because that is what we are called to do, but no one told us we'd feel so isolated. God did not create His children to thrive in isolation. We need community, collaboration, and connection.

From this dream, 'The Space' was launched; a vibrant Christian community space for creative exploration and authentic connection, fostering collaboration and spiritual growth in a nurturing environment in the heart of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

We opened our first facility in 2024—a 100 square meter room partitioned with curtains to provide a dance floor, a prayer space, art supplies, and a living room with coffee bar for people to gather. Open 7 days a week, the room was rarely empty.

In less than a year we've outgrown this room, but learned so much of the communities' needs in the process. Barely a day goes by when someone doesn't ask if they can use the space for prayer groups, training, or special events. We are broken each time we have to turn people away because there just isn't enough room or availability.

We searched a long time for an affordable property to accommodate the growing need, and recently we found something incredible: a 2.5-acre property that can expand our reach and facilitate many more activities. We can manage the monthly rent, but affording the required renovations will be a miracle. Thankfully we have a big God.

Our team is reaching out with a heartfelt plea for prayer and financial support. Our hearts are overflowing with a desire to serve our community, but our current space is bursting at the seams. We dream of expanding to a larger property where we can offer dedicated discipleship training, powerful prayer meetings, immersive worship nights, healing creative art reprieves, and a welcoming place for deeper connection. We believe that God has called us to this expansion, to create a place where His transformative love can reach even more lives, and we humbly ask for your partnership in making this vision a reality.

Praise the Lord! After many months of prayer and the support of so many amazing friends, we are overjoyed to share that the lease is signed and, as of August 2nd, we have taken possession of the property. Now the real work begins!

Our vision includes 26 buildings as part of the plan to build community here in Chiang Mai.
